Where has another year gone, we are rapidly heading to Christmas , the close of 2021 and welcoming 2022.
In good old Rabbie Burns tradition, you may recently have spoken (or sung) those immortal words:
“Should old acquaintances be forgot and never brought to mind, should auld acquaintance be forgot and auld lang syne”.
These might very well sound like poignant words in these difficult times as we remain unable to meet in person but with the news coming out from “government”, there are reasons to remain optimistic that this could happen in 2022 but most likely not until winter has departed and we hopefully get some long periods of sunshine.
On that basis, the committee remain committed to providing our members with every opportunity to develop in the world of both underwriting and claims. To deliver this commitment, we will be looking at how we can achieve this with the most likely outcome being a virtual event in March.
We acknowledge that the working practices of our members has changed and the ability to work from home will stay so we are already canvassing our members on their preferences for future events once the restrictions have been lifted with the hope that face to face events could become a reality from the summer.
When the committee have met and agreed upon the next steps, we will let all of you know what our first event will be and when.
In the meantime and noting we will be missing the opportunity to celebrate the life and times of our great Bard, we have given everyone the opportunity to win a prize by completing the following quiz with the Rabbie Burns theme. This can be found by clicking “HERE” We will be offering a first prize of £50 with a runner up prize of £25 for winning entries.
So c’mon let’s see who knows most about our Bard and remember, no cheating!!!
